Our Story

The BIPOC Healing Collective grew from a simple truth we couldn’t ignore: too many people are left out of mental health care that truly understands them. We saw brilliant, resilient members of our community carrying heavy burdens—trauma, burnout, perfectionism, grief—and facing systems that didn’t make space for their healing.

We decided to build something different. A place where your identity is seen as a strength, your culture is valued, and your story is heard without judgment. A place where therapy is affordable, accessible, and rooted in liberation, not gatekeeping.

We also know the field needs more voices like yours. That’s why we mentor and support BIPOC students and therapists-in-training, so the next generation of mental health professionals reflects the communities we serve.

This isn’t just about treatment. It’s about changing the conversation, breaking down stigma, and creating a future where healing is for all of us.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to provide culturally responsive mental health services, advocacy, and community support to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC communities) and other minoritized identities, including 2SLGBTQIA+, disabled, neurodivergent, and undocumented individuals and families, promoting liberation-oriented healing and dismantling the stigma surrounding mental health. We also aim to support BIPOC mental health students and clinicians through their respective training programs, promoting a more diverse field of mental health professionals.

Who We Serve

We welcome people from all walks of life, backgrounds, and experiences. While our mission centers on serving Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and other historically marginalized communities, we believe that everyone (no matter how you identify) deserves access to culturally responsive, affirming mental health care.

Our focus includes:

  • Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC)
  • 2SLGBTQIA+ community members
  • Survivors of trauma, domestic violence, and sexual assault
  • People with disabilities
  • Neurodivergent individuals
  • Undocumented individuals and families
  • Anyone seeking a supportive space to work on their mental health and well-being

We recognize that each person carries unique experiences shaped by culture, history, and personal challenges. Our goal is to create an affirming, accessible space where every client feels seen, heard, and supported.

Our Values

Culturally Responsive

We meet you with care that reflects and respects your culture, your history, and your lived experiences. Our approach honors the wisdom and traditions within our communities while using evidence-based practices that work.

Community-Rooted

Healing isn’t something you do alone, it’s built through connection, support, and shared growth. We work alongside you and your community, because we believe collective wellness is the foundation for individual well-being.

Accessible & Affordable

Everyone deserves access to mental health care, regardless of financial status. We do our best to work with clients who are experiencing cost barriers. If you have concerns about payment, please reach out and let us know your situation. We’ll be transparent about what options are available and if we may be able to support you.

Advocacy-Driven

True healing includes dismantling the systems that cause harm. We speak up, educate, and work toward change so our communities can live in a world where mental health is supported and stigma-free.
